This complete right-hand vent assembly (Clear CVA 1110 73 RH CLN) replaces a worn or damaged vent window and frame to restore proper sealing, alignment, and appearance. The assembly includes clear vent glass and the necessary frame components to secure the vent in the door, preventing wind noise and water intrusion while improving fit and finish. Built from durable materials and finished for corrosion resistance, it’s ideal for restoration projects or maintenance where OEM-style operation and look are required.

  • Rag and solvent for cleaning
  • Sealant (if required)
Instructions:
  1. Lower the window (if applicable) and disconnect the battery for safety.
  2. Remove the interior door panel and any vapor barrier carefully to expose the vent mounting area.
  3. Mark or photograph the existing vent alignment and hardware locations for reference.
  4. Remove trim, weatherstrips, and any screws or bolts securing the old vent assembly.
  5. Carefully unfasten the old vent assembly and detach any linkage or latch components.
  6. Clean the mounting area, removing old sealant, dirt, and corrosion; inspect the door frame for damage.
  7. Fit the new vent assembly into the door, connect any latch/linkage, and loosely install fasteners to allow alignment.
  8. Adjust the vent position to ensure proper sealing and operation, then tighten all fasteners to specification.
  9. Replace weatherstrips and trim, apply sealant where needed, and test the vent for smooth operation and leak-free sealing.
  10. Reinstall the door panel and perform a final check for alignment, operation, and water tightness.
