Instructions:
- Remove the old weatherstrip: carefully pry out the existing seal using a trim tool or flat screwdriver.
- Clean the mounting surface: remove old adhesive, dirt and corrosion; wipe with rubbing alcohol and a clean rag and allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seals: align left and right pieces to their respective running board edges to confirm fit and trim length if needed.
- Apply adhesive if required: some installations use push-on fitment; if adhesive is recommended, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the mounting channel per adhesive instructions.
- Install the seal: starting at one end, press the seal firmly into the channel or onto the edge, working along the length and ensuring full engagement without stretching.
- Trim excess: use a utility knife or scissors to trim any overhang for a neat finish.
- Allow adhesive to cure: if adhesive was used, let it set per the manufacturer’s cure time before using the vehicle.
