Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and block the wheels.
- Raise the vehicle and support securely on jack stands; remove the wheel to access the sway bar link.
- Locate the sway bar link connecting the stabilizer bar to the control arm or strut (right/left and front/rear location depends on vehicle).
- Apply penetrating oil to nuts and bolts if corroded; allow a few minutes to soak.
- Loosen and remove the top and bottom fasteners securing the link. Use a wrench to hold the stud if needed to prevent spinning.
- Remove the old sway bar link; compare with the new part to confirm correct orientation and length.
- Install the new link in the same orientation; start the fasteners by hand to avoid cross-threading.
- Tighten the fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer’s specified torque using a torque wrench.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the lug nuts to specification.
- Test drive at low speed to confirm there are no unusual noises and that handling is restored.
