Front right/left sway bar link designed for 1998-2002 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. This sway bar end link secures the anti-roll bar to the suspension control arm or strut, helping maintain proper roll stiffness, reduce body lean, and preserve handling stability. Built as a direct-fit replacement to restore original steering response and suspension geometry, it offers durable construction and reliable performance for routine maintenance or full suspension restoration projects.
Features:
- Fits 1998-2002 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury models (front sway bar link, right/left hand).
- Direct-fit replacement for OE-style sway bar end links to restore original handling.
- Durable metal stud and corrosion-resistant finish for long service life.
- Integrated bushings/ball joint design reduces vibration and wear for smoother ride.
- Easy installation with common hand tools; sold as single side (right or left) for targeted repairs.
- Ideal for suspension maintenance, restoration projects, or replacing worn/broken links.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes per side
Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, engage parking brake, and block rear wheels.
- Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, then lift vehicle with a jack and support securely on jack stands.
- Remove the front wheel to gain access to the sway bar link.
- Locate the sway bar end link connecting the stabilizer bar to the control arm or strut assembly.
- Apply penetrating oil to fasteners if they are corroded; allow time to soak.
- Hold the stud with a wrench and remove the nut(s) securing the link at the sway bar and the control arm/strut.
- Remove the old link—use a pry bar or pickle fork if necessary to separate tight joints.
- Position the new sway bar link in place, aligning studs with mounting holes.
- Install nuts and tighten by hand, then torque to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the lug nuts to spec.
