Instructions:
- Lower the window (if operable) and disconnect the vehicle battery if necessary for safety.
- Remove the door panel and any inner vapor barrier or insulation to expose the channel area and regulator. Keep screws and clips organized.
- Carefully lift or support the glass—use tape or a helper to hold it in the up position if needed.
- Remove the old glass run channel: unclip or pull it out from the door frame. Cut away any adhesive or damaged material with a utility knife as needed.
- Clean the channel cavity and surrounding surfaces of dirt, rust and old adhesive. Wipe down with a clean cloth.
- Apply a light coat of silicone spray or window lubricant to the new channel's interior to ease installation and glass movement.
- Starting at the top of the door frame, press the new channel into the channel groove, working downward and ensuring the profile seats evenly. Trim excess length if required.
- Re-seat the glass into the new channel, cycling the window up and down slowly to verify smooth travel and correct alignment. Adjust seating if glass binds or gaps appear.
- Reinstall the door vapor barrier (if removed) and door panel. Reconnect any electrical connectors and test window operation one final time.
- Check for water leaks and wind noise during a short road test; re-tighten or reseat the channel if needed.
