Instructions:
  1. Prepare vehicle: park on level surface, disconnect battery, lift and support vehicle, and remove front left wheel and inner splash shield for access.
  2. Remove old extension: locate and drill out spot welds or remove fasteners securing the existing extension; carefully separate the old panel from the fender.
  3. Clean and prep mating surfaces: grind remaining welds and rust back to clean metal; ensure a straight, corrosion-free edge for the new panel.
  4. Test-fit new extension: position the replacement panel and check alignment with adjacent fender, wheel opening, and trim; make minor adjustments as needed.
  5. Secure panel: clamp the extension in place. Attach by spot-welding at OEM locations or use rivets/structural adhesive per your repair method and local regulations.
  6. Finish welds and seams: grind smooth welds, apply seam sealer to all joints, and feather edges for a smooth transition.
  7. Bodywork and paint: apply body filler where necessary, sand smooth, prime, and paint to match the vehicle.
  8. Reassemble: reinstall inner splash shield, wheel, and any removed trim; torque fasteners to spec and lower the vehicle.
  9. Final check: inspect fitment, paint finish, and seam sealing; take the vehicle for a short test drive and recheck fasteners and alignment.
