A direct-fit replacement header panel engineered for the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. This front-end structural panel secures and aligns the grille, headlights, bumper, and radiator support while restoring factory contours and mounting points. Built for restoration and collision repair, it improves front-end rigidity, resists corrosion, and simplifies reassembly with accurate hole locations and a near-OEM fit.
Features:
  • Fits 1969 Chevrolet Camaro (body-style specific replacement panel).
  • Fabricated from durable stamped steel for long-lasting strength and support.
  • Restores factory mounting points and contours for accurate grille, headlight, and bumper alignment.
  • Corrosion-resistant finish/primer for easier prep and painting (ready for final finish).
  • Direct-fit replacement designed for restoration, collision repair, and preserving original fitment.
  • Helps reduce vibration and ensures correct panel gaps when installed with factory specifications.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 4/5
  • Estimated time: 4–8 hours (shop or experienced DIY, may vary with rust/damage)
Suggested Tools:
  • Metric and SAE socket set
  • Screwdrivers and pliers
  • Spot weld cutter or drill with appropriate bits
  • Angle grinder and cutoff wheel
  • MIG welder (or TIG) and welding mask
  • Clamps and panel alignment tools
  • Hammer and dolly set
  • Seam sealer and body primer
  • Protective equipment (gloves, eye protection)
  • Jack and jack stands or vehicle lift
Instructions:
  1. Prepare the vehicle: disconnect the battery and place the car on jack stands or a lift for safe access to the front end.
  2. Remove front components: remove the bumper, grille, headlights, radiator/shroud (if necessary), and any trim or brackets attached to the header panel.
  3. Expose welds and fasteners: locate and remove spot welds or bolts securing the old header panel using a spot weld cutter or drill; cut away severely rusted sections with an angle grinder if required.
  4. Remove the old panel: carefully detach the old header panel, preserving any reusable hardware or brackets and cleaning mating surfaces of rust and debris.
  5. Trial fit the new panel: position the replacement panel in place and verify alignment with surrounding panels and mounting points; use clamps and shims as needed to achieve proper gaps.
  6. Weld or fasten the panel: weld the panel into position at the factory weld locations, or use appropriate fasteners if designed for bolt-in installation; stitch weld in multiple spots to control heat distortion.
  7. Finish welds and seams: grind smooth all welds, check fitment again, and hammer/dolly any minor high spots to restore contour.
  8. Seal and prime: apply seam sealer to joined areas, coat with corrosion-inhibiting primer, and prepare the surface for paint.
  9. Reassemble components: reinstall the radiator, headlights, grille, bumper, and any removed trim, reconnect the battery, and verify alignment and operation of front-end components.
  10. Final inspection: check panel gaps, hood latch function, and fastener tightness. Touch up paint and seam sealer as needed to complete the restoration.
