Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 2-4 hours
Instructions:
- Prepare vehicle: park on level surface, disconnect battery negative, and allow engine to cool.
- Drain cooling system into a drain pan and remove radiator hoses and any electrical connectors to condenser/fan assemblies.
- Remove front components as needed for access: grille, bumper, headlights, and radiator (and condenser if required) following factory removal order.
- Support the engine/hood area if necessary and remove fasteners securing the old radiator support to the core support/frame rails.
- Carefully detach the old support; use penetrating oil on seized fasteners and have a helper assist with heavy panels to avoid damage.
- Test-fit the new radiator support and make any minor adjustments to alignment points before final installation.
- Install the new support and hand-thread all fasteners, then torque to factory recommendations where available.
- Reinstall radiator, condenser, fan assemblies, grille, headlights, bumper and all removed components. Reconnect hoses, wiring and reinstall coolant.
- Refill and bleed the cooling system, reconnect the battery, start the engine and inspect for leaks and proper fan/condenser operation.
- Verify hood and grille alignment and adjust mounting points as needed for correct gaps and latch operation. Re-torque fasteners after a short road test.
