Replacement right-hand quarter panel skin for the 1970 Dodge Coronet. This panel skin restores the outer body surface, factory contours and structural appearance where the original sheet metal has been damaged by rust, collision or corrosion. Built as a restoration-grade panel, it provides a durable, long-lasting repair that simplifies metalwork, helps prevent further corrosion when properly finished, and returns the correct alignment and fit for trim and wheel openings.
Features:
  • Fits 1970 Dodge Coronet — right-hand (passenger side) quarter panel skin.
  • Restoration-grade stamped steel reproduction to match factory contours.
  • Restores body lines, wheel opening and mounting surfaces for trim and accessories.
  • Helps prevent future rust when welded, sealed, primed and painted.
  • Designed for professional bodywork: requires cutting, fitting and welding for best results.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 4/5
  • Estimated time: 3–6 hours (depending on extent of rust repair and finishing)
Suggested Tools:
  • Angle grinder with cutting and grinding discs
  • Welding equipment (MIG recommended)
  • Clamps and panel alignment tools
  • Drill and spot-weld cutter
  • Body hammer and dolly set
  • Seam sealer and applicator
  • Rust inhibitor/primer and paint supplies
  • Safety gear (gloves, welding helmet, eye protection, respirator)
Instructions:
  1. Inspect and measure the damaged area; compare new skin to existing panel to verify fit.
  2. Mark and remove the corroded/damaged section of the original panel using a spot-weld cutter and angle grinder; preserve as much undamaged metal as possible.
  3. Clean and prepare mating surfaces, removing rust, paint and debris; apply rust inhibitor to bare metal as needed.
  4. Trial-fit the replacement skin, aligning key reference points (wheel opening, trim lines, gaps) and clamp in position.
  5. Make any necessary small adjustments to the panel edges for an accurate fit using trimming and hammer/dolly work.
  6. Weld the panel in place using short, controlled welds (stitch or plug welds) to minimize heat distortion; allow cooling between welds.
  7. Grind welds smooth and check panel alignment; correct low/high spots with body tools as required.
  8. Apply seam sealer to welded joints, prime bare metal, and complete corrosion protection before finishing with primer and paint to match the vehicle.
