Instructions:
- Disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the battery from the vehicle.
- Remove the existing battery hold-down and tray fasteners; apply penetrating oil to stubborn bolts as needed.
- Lift out the old tray. If the tray is rusted to the mounting area, clean or cut away corrosion and remove debris.
- Clean the mounting surface with a wire brush and apply rust inhibitor or primer to bare metal.
- Test-fit the new tray to ensure alignment with original mounting holes.
- Secure the tray using appropriate hardware; tighten fasteners snugly and torque to factory specs if available.
- Reinstall the battery with the hold-down, reconnect the negative cable, and check that the battery is firmly secured and terminals are clean.
