Direct-fit left front fender for 1982–1990 Chevrolet Camaro designed to restore damaged panels and protect the wheelwell and front bodywork. This replacement fender provides correct panel alignment and mounting points for a factory-like fit, helping maintain vehicle structure and resale value. Built for durability and straightforward installation, it’s ideal for collision repair, rust replacement, or full restoration projects where dependable fit and long-term performance matter.
Features:
  • Fits 1982-1990 Chevrolet Camaro, left hand (driver) side front fender
  • Stamped heavy-gauge steel construction for strength and long life
  • Restores original panel alignment and mounting points for doors, hood, and bumper
  • Protects wheelwell and front body from road debris and moisture
  • Direct-replacement design for easier fitment during repairs or restoration
  • May require priming, seam-sealing and paint to match vehicle finish
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 2-4 hours
Suggested Tools:
  • Socket set and ratchet
  • Combination wrenches
  • Screwdrivers (flat & Phillips)
  • Trim/panel removal tool
  • Torx bits (if applicable)
  • Masking tape
  • Jack and jack stands or vehicle ramps
  • Protective gloves and eye protection
  • Body alignment shims (optional)
  • Torque wrench (recommended)
Instructions:
  1. Prepare vehicle: park on a level surface, set parking brake, disconnect negative battery terminal if removing lights or sensors.
  2. Remove components attached to the fender: wheel (optional for access), inner fender liner, side marker/turn signal, bumper end cap, and any trim or molding that interferes with fender removal.
  3. Open hood and, if necessary, support it. Remove or loosen hood-to-fender bolts and any bolts at the cowl or hinge area to free the fender upper flange.
  4. Loosen bolts at the door jamb and bumper mounting points. Keep track of bolt locations and hardware.
  5. Carefully remove remaining fender fasteners and lift the old fender away from the vehicle. Inspect adjoining panels for damage or rust and clean mating surfaces.
  6. Test-fit the new fender: align mounting points loosely with factory bolts. Check gaps at the hood, door, and bumper; use shims if needed for proper spacing.
  7. Once aligned, tighten fasteners gradually in a sequence that maintains gap alignment. Torque bolts to factory specs where available.
  8. Reinstall inner liner, lights, trim, and wheel. Check operation of doors and hood for proper clearance and adjust if necessary.
  9. Prep and finish: if the fender is bare metal or primed, apply seam sealer to mating joints, prime, paint, and clearcoat to match the vehicle.
  10. Perform final inspection for fit, finish, and secure fastening. Reconnect the battery and test lights and sensors.
