When Peter Mercado noticed that the door handles on his C4 Corvette were falling victim to fading, scratches, and chips, he began looking for a solution without the expense of purchasing new handles, which would fade in time as well. He found it in the form of a new prototype polymer, which is resistant to heat, cold, moisture, salt, most chemicals, and minor impacts. Designed to last years when applied correctly, the polymer has a gloss finish and is mated with a permanent adhesive. After usingthe product to restore the handles on his own 1989 Corvette over five years ago, with great lasting results, Peter decided to market the kits to all 84-96 Corvette owners.
