This rear window weatherstrip seal is engineered for 4-door sedan models that use a chrome trim piece inserting into body clips (WCR DB3529). It provides a watertight, vibration-damping seal around the rear window to prevent leaks, reduce wind noise, and protect the interior from dust and moisture. Made to restore factory fit and function, the seal improves long-term durability and maintains the original appearance when used with the compatible chrome trim.
Features:
- Fits 4-door sedan models with rear window chrome trim that inserts into body clips (WCR DB3529).
- Constructed from a premium EPDM rubber compound for long-lasting resistance to UV, ozone, and weathering.
- Designed to work with chrome trim that seats into body clips—no complex modification required.
- Seals against water intrusion, wind noise, and vibration to protect interior components.
- Easy to install and ideal for restoration or replacement of worn factory seals.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30–60 minutes
Instructions:
- Carefully remove the chrome trim and old weatherstrip from the rear window channel using a trim tool and flat-head screwdriver to disengage body clips.
- Inspect and clean the channel and clip locations with solvent to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris; replace any damaged body clips.
- Position the new weatherstrip at the top center of the window channel and begin pressing the seal lip into the channel, working outward and downward to fully seat it into each clip location.
- If the chrome trim was removed, align it over the new seal and press firmly until it snaps into the body clips; use a rubber mallet or soft-faced hammer with a protective block if needed to fully engage clips without damaging trim.
- Trim any excess material if the seal is oversized, and apply a small amount of weatherstrip adhesive at high-stress points if additional hold is desired.
- Verify the installation by checking for uniform contact around the window, and perform a water or visual leak check to confirm a proper seal.
