Original 1967 SS hood gaskets were die-cut, flat gaskets while the 1968-69 SS hood gaskets were molded, beveled seals. This replacement hood gasket will function properly for the SS hood when installed. The same is true for sealing the 1969 Cowl Induction flapper valve frame to the opening on the Cowl Induction hood. NOTE: Gasket is shipped rolled in a coil and must be applied to the hood prior to the installation of the hood louvers or flapper valve frame.
