Instructions:
- Open the door and remove any interior trim or clips that obstruct access to the old seal.
- Carefully pull out the old weatherstrip; use a trim tool to release any retained edges and a razor blade to cut away stubborn adhesive or remnants.
- Thoroughly clean the channel and mating surfaces with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new seal pieces to ensure correct orientation (left/right) and fit along the channel before applying adhesive.
- If adhesive is required, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip cement to the channel or seal flange per adhesive instructions.
- Press the seal firmly into place along the entire length, making sure the bulb and flange seat correctly in the channel.
- Use masking tape to hold the seal in position while the adhesive cures (follow adhesive cure time).
- Reinstall any removed trim and check door closure and gaps; adjust as needed for an even seal and proper operation.
