Instructions:
- Park on a level surface, shut off engine and allow components to cool.
- Protect painted surfaces with masking tape around the grille area to prevent scratches.
- If equipped, remove any screws or fasteners securing the grille assembly to the radiator support using a Phillips or appropriate socket.
- Carefully release the grille from the vehicle by prying gently at the retaining clips or tabs with a trim tool or flat-head screwdriver; support the grille as clips disengage so it does not fall.
- Lay the grille assembly on a soft, clean surface. Inspect how the old center divider is secured (clips, tabs or screws) and note orientation.
- Remove the old divider by disengaging clips or removing fasteners. Clean mating surfaces with a soft cloth and mild cleaner to remove dirt and old adhesive residues.
- Align the new center divider into the grille opening, ensuring all tabs and locating points match the factory positions. Press firmly to engage clips or reinstall any screws/fasteners.
- Test-fit the grille assembly back onto the vehicle, engage mounting clips/tabs and reinstall any screws or bolts removed earlier. Check for proper alignment and even gaps around the divider.
- Tighten fasteners snugly (do not over-torque), remove protective tape, and wipe the area clean.
- Inspect final fit and ensure there is no interference with adjacent trim or hood closure. Road-test at low speed to confirm no rattles.
