The Precision Rear Window Weatherstrip Seal, Without Trim Groove WBL 1135, provides a watertight, airtight seal around the rear glass to prevent leaks, wind noise, and interior damage. Molded from durable, UV- and ozone-resistant EPDM rubber, this replacement seal restores factory fit and finish where a trim-groove style is not used. It improves cabin comfort, protects body panels from water intrusion and corrosion, and is engineered for long-lasting flexibility and reliable performance during restoration or routine maintenance.
Features:
- Designed as a direct rear window weatherstrip replacement where no trim groove is present.
- Made from UV- and ozone-resistant EPDM rubber for long-term durability.
- Seals out water, wind, and road noise to protect interior and prevent corrosion.
- OEM-style profile restores factory fit and finish for restorations.
- Flexible construction for easy installation and reliable compression set.
- Suitable for restoring seals on classic or late-model vehicles requiring a groove-less seal.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and remove the rear glass or trim as required by the vehicle service manual.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip from the window channel, using a trim tool to avoid scratching paint or glass.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris; allow to dry.
- Dry-fit the new WBL 1135 seal around the glass or into the channel to verify orientation and fit.
- If specified by the vehicle or the product instructions, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or mating surface.
- Starting at the center top of the window, press the seal into the channel, working outward toward each corner. Use a rubber mallet or block of wood to seat the seal evenly without over-compressing.
- Trim any excess material with a utility knife for a neat finish, taking care not to nick the glass or paint.
- Secure the seal with masking tape where necessary and allow adhesive to cure per adhesive manufacturer recommendations (if used).
- Reinstall the rear glass or trim following the vehicle service procedures, checking that the seal remains properly seated.
- Perform a water test (spray or light hose) to confirm there are no leaks and make final adjustments if needed.
