Precision Vent Glass Weatherstrip Seal Kit (Left & Right, 4-piece, VWK 1110 73) replaces worn vent window seals to stop water leaks, reduce wind noise, and restore proper glass alignment. Made to the original profile for a factory-like fit, this kit seals the vent glass assemblies on Volkswagen applications that use the VWK 1110 73 seal configuration. Durable, ozone- and UV-resistant compound maintains flexibility over time, improving weather protection and cabin comfort while making reassembly and adjustment straightforward for restoration or routine maintenance.
Features:
- Fits Volkswagen vent glass applications using part number VWK 1110 73 (left & right vent windows) — verify fitment for your vehicle before purchase.
- Four-piece kit replaces all vent glass seals for complete restoration of both sides.
- Made from durable, UV- and ozone-resistant rubber compound to resist cracking and shrinking.
- OEM-profile design restores correct glass alignment and sealing performance.
- Helps eliminate water leaks, wind noise, and rattles for improved cabin comfort.
- Easy press-in installation; designed for a secure, factory-like fit without special adhesives.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Carefully open or remove the vent glass assembly per vehicle procedure.
- Remove the old weatherstrips: pry out with a trim tool and cut through any stubborn sections with a utility knife, taking care not to damage the metal channel or glass.
- Clean the seal channel and surrounding area with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, old adhesive residue, and grease. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit each new seal to confirm correct orientation and left/right placement before final installation.
- Apply a light coat of silicone lubricant or soapy water to the seal lip to ease installation and avoid tearing.
- Press the new seal into the channel, starting at one end and working around to ensure the seal seats evenly. Use a plastic trim tool to push the seal fully into its retaining groove without damaging the lip.
- Reinstall the vent glass assembly and any mounting hardware, adjusting alignment as needed so the glass moves freely and seals evenly.
- Cycle the vent window several times to confirm smooth operation. Inspect for gaps or pinched areas and make minor adjustments as necessary.
- Perform a water test (spray or run water over the vent area) to check for leaks and verify a complete seal.
- Clean up any lubricant residue and recheck fasteners after a short test drive.
