An 8-piece, all-black beltline molding and glass run channel kit designed to restore window sealing, alignment, and appearance. The left- and right-hand channels secure the glass, reduce wind noise and vibration, and prevent water intrusion while providing an OEM-style finish. Constructed from durable EPDM/rubber with corrosion-resistant channel backing, this kit improves reliability and longevity while remaining straightforward to install for common restoration and maintenance projects.
Features:
- 8-piece kit includes left- and right-hand beltline moldings and glass run channels in all-black finish.
- Durable EPDM rubber construction with corrosion-resistant metal channel backing for long life.
- Secures and aligns window glass to reduce wind noise, rattles, and vibration.
- Restores weather sealing to prevent water intrusion and interior damage.
- OEM-style profile for a factory appearance and reliable fit when matching part number.
- Easy-to-seat design for faster installation and accurate glass movement.
- Ideal for restoration, replacement of worn channels, or preventative maintenance.
- Resists UV, ozone, and temperature extremes to maintain pliability and seal.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 60-120 minutes
Instructions:
- Prepare workspace: roll the window fully up or down as required, disconnect battery if removing power window components, and protect interior trim with masking tape.
- Remove door panel/trim as needed to access the beltline and glass run channels. Keep screws and clips organized.
- Carefully remove the old beltline molding and glass run channel pieces using a trim tool; avoid bending the glass or damaging paint.
- Clean the channel mounting surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit each new piece (left and right) to confirm orientation and fit before final installation.
- Apply a light coat of soapy water or silicone lubricant inside the run channel to aid glass insertion and seating.
- Seat the new channel into the beltline slot or mounting flange. Work progressively along the length, pressing the channel into the retaining lip until fully engaged.
- Lower or raise the glass slowly into the new run channel to ensure smooth movement and proper alignment. Adjust as needed for correct glass travel and seal.
- Reinstall any clips, screws, and the door panel. If specified, apply a bead of adhesive/sealant at critical seams and allow recommended cure time.
- Operate the window several times to confirm quiet operation, secure fitment, and an effective weather seal. Make final adjustments if necessary.
