The Precision Hood To Cowl Seal CS 1110 67 is a reproduction hood-to-cowl seal engineered to restore the original weatherproofing between the hood and cowl on 1967 vehicles. It creates a reliable barrier that prevents water, dirt, and engine-bay contaminants from entering the cowl, heater box, and passenger compartment, while also reducing wind noise and vibration. Molded from durable, weather-resistant rubber with an OEM-style profile, this seal improves long-term reliability and is ideal for restoration or replacement projects where correct fit and function are important. Verify exact fitment for your 1967 model before installation.
Features:
- Fits 1967 Chevrolet models — verify exact make and model compatibility for your vehicle.
- OEM-style profile restores original hood-to-cowl sealing performance.
- Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber to resist cracking, shrinking, and UV damage.
- Prevents water intrusion into the cowl and heater box, protecting wiper components and interior systems.
- Reduces wind noise and helps maintain proper engine-bay airflow.
- Easy to install with basic hand tools; suitable for restoration and maintenance applications.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 15-30 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the hood and prop securely. Remove the old seal by gently prying it away from the cowl flange and hood edge; use a plastic trim tool to avoid paint damage.
- Clean mating surfaces thoroughly with a rag and solvent or isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive residue, and grease. Allow surfaces to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal along the hood-to-cowl interface to verify orientation and length. Trim excess material if necessary so the seal sits flush without bunching.
- If your vehicle originally used adhesive or clips, apply a thin bead of appropriate automotive adhesive to the cowl flange per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions.
- Starting at one end, press the seal firmly into place along the cowl flange and against the hood edge, ensuring the bulb and flange sections seat into the original channels. Work along the length to avoid gaps.
- Close the hood gently to confirm fitment; reopen and make any minor adjustments. Wipe away excess adhesive immediately if used.
- Allow any adhesive or sealant to cure per product directions before driving. Recheck the seal after a short test drive and again after 24 hours to ensure proper seating.
