A precision-molded, 2-piece rear window weatherstrip seal kit engineered to restore the original sealing performance on GM rear glass openings. The kit replaces deteriorated or missing rubber seals to prevent water intrusion, wind noise, and air leaks while returning a clean, OEM-style appearance. Constructed from durable, UV- and ozone-resistant rubber with a form-fit design, this kit helps maintain interior comfort and protect trim and sheetmetal from moisture damage. Designed for GM rear window applications—verify fitment for your specific year, make, and model before installation.
Features:
- Two-piece kit designed for GM rear window openings; confirm fitment for the exact year and model.
- Precision-molded rubber resists UV, ozone and weathering for long service life.
- Restores factory-style sealing to prevent leaks, reduce road noise, and protect interior trim.
- Easy to install with basic hand tools; designed for an OEM-like fit and finish.
- Ideal for restoration projects or replacing brittle, cracked factory weatherstrips.
- Helps preserve vehicle value by maintaining correct sealing and appearance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground and remove rear glass trim or interior trim as required to access the old weatherstrip.
- Carefully pry out and remove the old weatherstrip pieces using a trim pry tool; retain any reusable clips or retainers.
- Thoroughly clean the channel and surrounding surfaces with isopropyl alcohol or a suitable cleaner to remove dirt, adhesive and residue; allow to dry.
- Dry-fit each new weatherstrip piece to the window opening to confirm orientation and fit before applying adhesive.
- If adhesive is recommended, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or flange per adhesive instructions.
- Starting at one corner, press the weatherstrip into the channel and work around the opening, ensuring the retaining lip seats fully; use a rubber mallet or block of wood to gently seat the seal if needed.
- Trim any excess material for a neat finish and recheck that the seal sits uniformly with no kinks or gaps.
- Reinstall any trim or hardware that was removed and allow adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions before exposing to water or heavy use.
