Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and protect painted surfaces with masking tape and drop cloths.
- Carefully remove interior trim and any exterior molding securing the old seal using a trim tool.
- Pull out the old weatherstrip seal and cut away any damaged sections with a razor knife as needed.
- Thoroughly clean the window channel and surrounding surfaces with a lint-free cloth and solvent-free cleaner; remove old adhesive or debris.
- Test-fit the new seal to confirm orientation and length; trim excess if necessary while allowing a slight overlap where specified.
- Lightly mist the channel or seal with soapy water or a recommended rubber lubricant to aid seating (do not use petroleum-based products).
- Starting at one corner, press the new seal into the channel and work around the opening, using a rubber mallet or wooden block to evenly seat the seal without stretching it.
- If recommended for your application, apply small amounts of weatherstrip adhesive at the start and finish points for extra hold; wipe away any excess immediately.
- Reinstall any moldings or interior trim removed earlier, and allow any adhesive or lubricant to cure per product instructions before driving.
