The Precision Trunk Weatherstrip Seal TS 105 SA is a durable trunk-to-body seal engineered to keep water, dust, and road noise out of the cargo area while helping align and cushion the trunk lid. Made from resilient EPDM-style rubber, this seal provides long-lasting compression set resistance, UV and ozone protection, and reliable sealing performance for restoration or routine replacement projects. It installs in the trunk channel to secure and protect sheet metal edges and trim, improving fit, reducing vibration, and restoring factory weatherproofing.
Features:
- EPDM-style rubber construction for long-lasting flexibility and UV/ozone resistance
- Seals trunk perimeter to block water, dust, and road noise
- Reduces vibration and cushions trunk lid for improved fit and alignment
- OEM-style profile for direct replacement and restoration applications
- Easy to trim and install; adheres securely when used with weatherstrip adhesive
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the trunk and remove the old weatherstrip by pulling it from the channel; use a trim tool or flat screwdriver to pry loose any stubborn sections.
- Clean the trunk channel thoroughly with adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol to eliminate old adhesive, dirt, and debris; allow the surface to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the trunk channel to confirm correct orientation and length; trim excess with scissors or a razor blade if necessary.
- Apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or back of the seal per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Press the seal firmly into the channel, starting at one end and working around the trunk opening; ensure the bulb and flange seat fully into the channel.
- Wipe off any excess adhesive immediately and use clamps or painter’s tape to hold the seal in place if required by the adhesive cure time.
- Allow the adhesive to cure for the time specified by the adhesive manufacturer before closing the trunk or exposing to moisture.
