Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and protect painted surfaces with tape or cloth.
- Carefully remove the exterior steel windshield trim by prying with a trim tool or screwdriver, taking care not to bend the trim.
- Pull out the old weatherstrip seal from the windshield channel. Cut it into sections if needed to ease removal.
- Thoroughly clean the channel and trim area of old adhesive, dirt, and residue using a rag and isopropyl alcohol. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip into the channel to verify orientation. The trim groove should face outward to accept the steel trim.
- If recommended for your application, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive into the channel or onto the seal flange where indicated by the manufacturer.
- Press the new weatherstrip firmly into the channel, starting at one corner and working around the windshield. Use a rubber mallet or hand pressure to seat the seal evenly.
- Reinstall the steel windshield trim by aligning it with the trim groove and gently tapping it into place until secure. Avoid over-bending the trim.
- Wipe away any excess adhesive and allow any applied adhesive to cure per the adhesive manufacturer's instructions before driving.
- Inspect the installation for gaps or loose areas and perform a water test to confirm there are no leaks.
