The BD Drinkster Bench Seat consoles are available in two sizes. Both versions are best suited for small to mid-size cars and trucks. They differ only in length.
The contoured bottom of our BD console is uniquely shaped to match the general profile of most bench seats. As a result the console sits naturally on the seat and offers a very comfortable position for the driver’s arm. Standard features include two drink holders, padded armrest and storage compartment under the armrest. The BD also has a simple but effective strapping system which provides more stability with less movement to your console.
– The BD Drinkster is the longer version. It uses the entire depth of the seat (front-to-back) and in some cases will slightly hang over the front edge of the seat. For this reason, the BD Drinkster works best in vehicles where the gear selector is located on the steering column.
– The BD Shorty Drinkster is shorter in length. As a result this console for great for bench seats with less depth (measured front to back). Also, if you have a manual transmission where the shifter comes close to touching the front of your seat then this console is the best option for you.
Note: The difference between the BD Drinkster style and BC Cruiser style is the width. Both designs fit bench seats but the BD works best in smaller cars and trucks.
BD Drinkster consoles are narrower than our BC Cruiser style which makes them ideal for smaller or compact cars and trucks where seating space is limited. The consolidated design of the BD Drinkster offers premium comfort to drivers and passengers in any vehicle with a bench seat without wasting valuable space. These consoles are particularly functional in back seats, your passengers will appreciate your thoughtful accommodations and hopefully, prevent unwanted beverage spills.
In short, the BD Drinkster consoles will work on any bench seat. Use the individual console dimensions in the “Specs" tab to determine which BD Drinkster console will work best for your application.
Installation is so fast and simple, instructions may not be needed, but here they are. Place the console anywhere on the bench seat that works best for you, that’s it! If that was too easy and you feel like there should’ve been more effort involved then take the included nylon strap, wrap it behind and under the seat, loop it through the buckle at the front of the console and cinch down for a firm hold.
The drink holders in our consoles are made from durable, long-lasting polymers that will provide many, many years of functionality while retaining the striking appearance you expect from Classic Consoles. All drink holders come standard with a black finish around the top rim. The top rim is the area of the drink holder predominately seen when the console is installed in your vehicle so we offer you the option of four additional distinct colors & finishes to customize your console or to match the existing trim package of your vehicle’s interior.
Our medium-sized drink holders that are included with this console will accommodate 12 oz. soda cans and most smaller plastic water bottles. The interior diameter is just over 2 3/4 inches with a depth of just over 3 inches.
