Precision 1995-1996 Chevrolet Corvette Hatch Weatherstrip Seal TS 108 SA is a direct-fit replacement hatch seal engineered to restore a tight, weatherproof closure for C4 Corvettes. Made from durable EPDM synthetic rubber, this seal prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise, protects interior trim from abrasion, and helps maintain correct hatch alignment. Designed for easy installation and long-lasting performance, it’s ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance to bring back OEM-style sealing and reliability.
Features:
- Fits 1995-1996 Chevrolet Corvette (C4) hatch application.
- Constructed from long-life EPDM synthetic rubber for UV, ozone, and temperature resistance.
- Seals hatch to prevent water leaks, dust intrusion, and wind noise.
- Restores proper hatch alignment and contact to protect interior trim.
- Push-on/profile design conforms to factory flange — trims easily for precise fit.
- Durable replacement for worn, cracked, or flattened original weatherstripping.
- Easy to install for DIY restorations or professional bodywork projects.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the hatch and prop it securely. If necessary, remove interior trim panels to access the full seal flange.
- Carefully peel away the old weatherstrip seal. Use a trim tool or wrapped screwdriver to release any clips and pull adhesive residue from the flange.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a clean rag to remove dirt, grease, and old adhesive. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the hatch perimeter to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess with a utility knife or scissors if needed; avoid overstretching the seal.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the flange per the adhesive manufacturer’s directions. Some profiles are push-on and do not require adhesive.
- Starting at the hinge side, press the seal into the flange or channel, working around the perimeter. Use firm, even pressure to seat the bulb and ensure full engagement; avoid stretching the seal as you install.
- Overlap or butt the ends per factory practice and trim for a neat joint. Use masking tape to hold sections in place while adhesive cures, if adhesive was applied.
- Close the hatch slowly and check for uniform contact and seal compression. Reopen and make minor adjustments if necessary. Allow adhesive to cure fully before exposing to moisture or driving.
