A precision-engineered left-hand complete vent assembly (CVA 1110 81 LH CLN) designed to replace worn or damaged vent windows in classic and restoration vehicles. This clear vent assembly restores proper sealing and alignment, reduces wind noise and water ingress, and provides long-term durability with an easy-fit design. Ideal for restorations and maintenance where original-style appearance and reliable performance matter.
Features:
- Left-hand complete vent assembly, part code CVA 1110 81 LH CLN (clear)
- Clear vent glass for original appearance and unobstructed visibility
- Restores proper sealing to reduce wind noise and prevent water leaks
- Durable construction for long-lasting fit and reliable alignment
- Direct replacement for restoration or maintenance projects
- Designed for straightforward installation and serviceability
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, disconnect the negative battery terminal if required by vehicle manufacturer safety recommendations.
- Carefully remove the interior door panel and any trim pieces blocking access to the vent assembly using trim tools to avoid damage.
- Lower or remove the main window (if applicable) to gain clear access to the vent frame and fasteners.
- Locate and remove fasteners (screws, rivets, or clips) securing the old vent assembly. Support the vent as you remove the final fasteners to prevent dropping.
- Disconnect any attached hardware (vent latch, retainers, or weatherstrips) and remove the old vent assembly from the door frame.
- Clean the mounting area thoroughly, removing old sealant, corrosion, and debris. Wipe with a clean rag and appropriate cleaner; allow to dry.
- Position the new left-hand vent assembly into the door frame. Align holes and mating surfaces; use masking tape to temporarily hold the vent in place if needed.
- Apply a thin bead of automotive-grade sealant where the vent meets the door frame if the original design used adhesive/sealant.
- Secure the new vent with the original type of fasteners (screws or rivets). Tighten evenly to avoid distorting the frame.
- Reconnect any hardware (latch, weatherstrip) and reinstall the main window if it was removed. Test vent operation and check for proper fit and sealing.
- Reinstall the interior trim panel and any removed components. Clean the area and inspect for leaks by gently spraying water around the vent and checking for seepage.
