The 2021-2025 Hyundai Elantra Underside Windshield Molding USM F5585 is a direct-fit underside windshield molding designed to secure and seal the lower edge of the windshield on 2021–2025 Hyundai Elantra models. It protects the windshield channel from water intrusion and debris, reduces wind noise and vibration, and aligns trim for a factory-quality appearance. Constructed from durable, UV- and weather-resistant materials with OE-style mounting features, this molding offers reliable long-term performance and easy installation—ideal for restoration, collision repair, or routine maintenance.
Features:
- Fits 2021–2025 Hyundai Elantra models (direct-fit underside windshield molding).
- Constructed from durable, UV- and weather-resistant rubber and corrosion-resistant mounting components.
- Seals the underside of the windshield to prevent water intrusion and reduce wind noise and vibration.
- OE-style fit restores factory alignment and appearance for trim and glass edges.
- Easy to install with common trim tools; ideal for collision repair, restoration, or routine replacement.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, set the parking brake, and wear gloves and eye protection.
- Carefully remove any lower windshield trim or garnish pieces using a plastic trim tool to expose the underside molding.
- Gently pry out the old underside molding and remove any retained clips; use pliers for stubborn clips.
- Thoroughly clean the windshield channel and surrounding area with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt, adhesive, and residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new underside molding (USM F5585) to confirm orientation and clip locations before final installation.
- If required, transfer or install any mounting clips onto the new molding per clip spacing on the vehicle.
- Align the molding with the channel and press firmly along its length, seating each clip into place. Use a rubber mallet or your palm to ensure full engagement without damaging the molding.
- Reinstall any removed trim or garnish pieces and verify that the molding sits flush and that gaps are sealed.
- Perform a water check (light hose test) or drive test to confirm there are no leaks or wind noise. If windshield adhesive or structural components were disturbed, have installation inspected by a professional.
