Instructions:
- Park vehicle on level ground, turn off ignition, and disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent shorts.
- Access the existing license lamp from the trunk or rear panel; remove any trim or carpet as needed to reach mounting screws.
- Unfasten the mounting screws holding the old assembly and carefully pull the assembly out to expose the bulb socket and wiring.
- Disconnect the bulb socket or wiring pigtail. If reusing the original socket, transfer it to the new assembly per fitment; otherwise prepare the vehicle wires for connection.
- Compare the new assembly to the old one to ensure gasket orientation and fitment match. Install the supplied gasket or reuse the original if in good condition.
- Connect the wiring: match positive/ground wires, strip and crimp or solder connections, then seal with connectors or electrical tape. Apply dielectric grease to connections for corrosion protection if desired.
- Seat the new assembly into the mounting opening, align screw holes, and secure with mounting screws. Do not overtighten to avoid cracking the lens.
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal, turn on the lights, and test the license lamp for proper operation. Adjust seating if necessary and reassemble any removed trim or carpet.
