A period-correct, round 5" ribbed exterior chrome mirror engineered to restore both the look and function of classic 1947–1972 Chevy trucks. The polished chrome head and ribbed styling provide authentic vintage appearance while offering reliable rearward visibility for safer driving. Built for durability and ease of use, this mirror is a direct-replacement style that complements restoration projects or routine maintenance, delivering corrosion-resistant finish and straightforward mounting for a clean, factory-inspired fit.
Features:
- Fits 1947-1972 Chevy Truck models (cab and door mount applications vary by year/trim).
- 5-inch round ribbed mirror head delivers authentic vintage styling.
- Chrome-plated metal housing resists rust and maintains a showroom shine.
- Improves rear visibility and driving safety while maintaining period-correct appearance.
- Includes mounting hardware for a simple replacement or upgrade installation.
- Ideal for restorations, replacements, and cosmetic upgrades on classic trucks.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Verify correct side (driver or passenger) and confirm the mirror matches existing mounting location and hole pattern.
- If replacing an old mirror, remove the interior door panel or access cover as needed and disconnect any fasteners holding the original mirror; keep fasteners for reference.
- Clean the mounting surface of dirt, paint flakes, and old sealant so the new mirror seats flush.
- Hold the mirror bracket in place and use masking tape to mark the mounting holes from the inside; double-check alignment and height on the door/cab.
- Center punch the marked locations. If the vehicle does not already have holes or if holes must be enlarged, drill pilot holes to the appropriate size for the supplied fasteners.
- Apply a thin bead of silicone sealant around each hole on the exterior surface (optional, for weatherproofing), then position the mirror and insert the mounting fasteners.
- Tighten fasteners evenly with a socket wrench or screwdriver until the mirror is secure; avoid over-tightening to prevent distortion of the mounting surface.
- Reinstall any interior access panels and test mirror adjustment. Make final alignment adjustments for optimal rearward visibility.
- Road-test the vehicle and re-check fastener tightness after the first short drive; retorque if necessary.
