This plain tailgate trim band panel is an OEM-style replacement designed for 1973–1974 GMC C/K Wideside Pickup models and 1973–1974 GMC Jimmy models without removable hardtop on the Squarebody platform, including C/15 applications where equipped. Installed across the tailgate outer panel, this trim band restores the factory appearance specific to early Squarebody GMC Wideside and Jimmy trim configurations. Manufactured to factory specifications for configuration and finish, it is intended for classic restoration and exterior refinishing of 1973–1974 GMC C/K Wideside pickup and Jimmy applications.
Auto Metal Direct is a team of true car guys with years of experience in sheet metal reproduction, car restoration and paint/body work. We believe that quality is not subjective! Our mission is to provide the best customer experience for the Ford, Mopar and GM classic car markets - both in products and in service.
Our panels are made from proper gauge steel and include all correct-as-original clips, tabs, flanges, bends and seams. Each time a prototype body panel comes off of a new tooling, we test fit it on a car. The marked up prototype is then used to change and improve the tools, and a new prototype is produced. This procedure might be repeated multiple times but, once the part is finally approved, you can be assured of a quality part.
