Instructions:
- Park on a level surface and ensure the windshield area is dry and cool to the touch.
- Carefully remove the old side molding: use a plastic trim tool to pry it away from the glass and body, releasing any clips or fasteners. Keep track of any reusable clips.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils; allow to dry completely.
- Inspect and replace any damaged clips or fasteners. If adhesive is used, apply adhesive promoter per product instructions and allow it to flash as directed.
- Test-fit the new molding to confirm orientation and alignment with factory mounting points.
- Starting at one end, press the new molding into place, engaging clips or fasteners as you go. If adhesive is used, apply even pressure along the molding to ensure full contact.
- Secure any visible screws or retainers and use masking tape to hold the molding in position if needed until adhesive cures.
- Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer recommendations (typically 24 hours) before driving; verify a complete seal and that there are no gaps or loose sections.
