Precision 2013-2018 Nissan Altima Windshield Side Moldings (2-piece kit) restore the finished edge of the windshield while sealing and protecting the gap between glass and body. These replacement side moldings secure trim lines, help prevent water intrusion and wind noise, and renew the vehicle’s appearance after wear or damage. Made for a close OEM-style fit, they offer durable, weather-resistant performance and straightforward installation for reliable, long-lasting restoration.
Features:
- Fits 2013-2018 Nissan Altima (2-piece side windshield moldings).
- Two-piece kit replaces worn or damaged windshield side moldings for a factory look.
- Engineered for OEM-style fit to securely align and retain trim along the windshield edge.
- Durable, weather-resistant construction resists UV, moisture, and temperature changes.
- Helps prevent water intrusion and reduces wind noise while protecting paint edges.
- Simple installation — designed for direct replacement during restoration or maintenance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface in a warm, dry area (recommended temperature > 60°F / 15°C).
- Carefully remove the old side molding: use a plastic trim tool to pry away trim and disengage clips or peel back adhesive. Work slowly to avoid damaging paint.
- Remove any remaining adhesive or clip remnants from the mounting flange using adhesive remover, then clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new molding by aligning it along the windshield edge to verify orientation and clip locations before final installation.
- If the new molding uses push-in clips: align the molding to the mounting flange and press firmly along its length until clips fully engage. Replace any broken clips as needed.
- If the molding uses adhesive backing: if provided, warm the adhesive slightly with a heat gun or hair dryer for better adhesion, peel the liner a few inches, align the molding, then press progressively along the length, removing the liner as you go.
- Use masking tape to hold the molding in position while adhesive cures (if applicable). Apply firm, even pressure along the entire molding to ensure proper seating.
- Re-check fit and clear any excess adhesive. Allow any adhesive to cure per the manufacturer’s recommended time (typically 24 hours) before vehicle washing or exposure to heavy moisture.
