Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and work in a shaded, dry area; ensure the windshield and surrounding trim are cool to the touch.
- Carefully remove the old side molding: use a plastic trim tool to pry along the molding, releasing clips or softening old adhesive. Remove any clips and old adhesive residue.
- Thoroughly clean the mounting surface with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new molding along the windshield edge to confirm alignment and clip orientation before removing any adhesive backing.
- If the molding uses adhesive, apply adhesive promoter per product instructions. For clip-style moldings, align the clips with their mating holes.
- Starting at one end, align the molding and press firmly into place. For adhesive-backed pieces, remove backing gradually and press along the length to ensure full contact. For clip-mounted pieces, press until each clip engages.
- Use a hand roller or apply firm pressure along the molding to ensure even seating and adhesion. Recheck alignment and seating of all clips.
- Allow adhesive to cure as recommended (typically 24 hours) before washing the vehicle or exposing to heavy weather. Re-inspect after initial drive to confirm secure fit.
