Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, set parking brake, and disconnect the negative battery terminal if recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
- Remove the windshield wipers and any cowl covers or trim panels that obstruct access to the lower windshield molding following vehicle-specific removal steps.
- Carefully pry up and remove the old lower molding or trim clips using a plastic trim tool and screwdriver as needed, taking care not to damage the windshield glass or painted surfaces.
- Clean the molding channel and surrounding area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or mild cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris. Allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new WLM F5048 molding along the lower windshield edge to confirm alignment and clip locations.
- Starting at one end, press the new molding into the channel and engage the retaining clips or fasteners. Use steady, even pressure to seat the molding fully along the entire length.
- Reinstall any removed cowl panels and windshield wipers. Torque wiper mounting nuts to the vehicle manufacturer's specification.
- Inspect the seal for full engagement, and check for gaps. Perform a water test (gentle hose stream) to confirm there are no leaks before returning the vehicle to service.
