Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake; wear gloves and safety glasses.
- Carefully remove any exterior trim pieces or retention clips that overlap the lower windshield molding using a trim tool or screwdriver.
- Gently pry out the old lower molding, working from one end to the other; take care not to damage the windshield or surrounding trim.
- Clean the windshield flange and surrounding channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or a mild cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new WLM F5083 molding along the windshield base to confirm orientation and fit before final installation.
- If required by vehicle or seal condition, apply a thin bead of appropriate automotive adhesive or urethane sealant to the flange per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Press the new molding into the channel, starting at one corner and working across to the other side, ensuring it seats fully and evenly. Reinstall any retention clips or trim pieces.
- Allow any applied adhesive or sealant to cure per manufacturer's recommendations, then check for secure fit and test for leaks with a gentle hose spray.
