A direct-fit windshield molding designed for 2014-2020 Acura MDX models, this molding secures and seals the windshield edge while restoring the vehicle's factory appearance. It protects the windshield from moisture intrusion, reduces wind noise and vibration, and helps align and retain trim for a flush finish. Built from weather-resistant materials with reliable clip engagement, the molding delivers long-lasting durability and an easy replacement solution for restoration or maintenance projects.
Features:
- Vehicle Fitment: 2014-2020 Acura MDX
- Durable, weather-resistant construction to resist UV, ozone and temperature extremes
- Secures and seals the windshield edge to prevent water intrusion and reduce wind noise
- Designed to align and retain trim for a factory-fit appearance
- Direct replacement for restoration and maintenance — installs with common trim clips and fasteners
- Easy to install with basic automotive tools; restores function and finish without modifying bodywork
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and protect surrounding trim with masking tape or drop cloths.
- Carefully pry off the old windshield molding using a plastic trim removal tool to avoid scratching paint or glass.
- Remove any remaining adhesive, sealant or debris from the windshield flange and pillar areas. Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new molding along the windshield edge to verify orientation and clip locations.
- If the molding uses adhesive, apply an appropriate windshield molding adhesive/sealant sparingly to the flange per adhesive instructions. If clips are used, ensure clips are intact or replace as needed.
- Starting at one corner, align the molding and press firmly along the windshield edge, engaging clips or seating the molding into the channel. Work slowly to ensure an even fit and avoid stretching.
- Secure any screws or retainers if applicable. Use masking tape to hold the molding in place while adhesive cures, if used.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product instructions (usually 24 hours) before driving. Inspect the seal and trim for a consistent, flush appearance and test for wind noise.
