Installation / Application:

Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a flat surface, set parking brake, and remove the negative battery terminal if desired for safety.
- Remove windshield wipers: lift arms, remove retaining nuts with appropriate socket, and carefully set wipers aside.
- Remove the lower cowl panel: use trim tool and screwdrivers to release clips and fasteners, then lift the cowl away to expose the windshield molding.
- Carefully pry up and remove the old molding: use a plastic trim tool to release clips along the channel to avoid scratching the paint or glass.
- Clean the mounting channel: remove old adhesive, debris, and dirt using isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth so the new molding seats properly.
- Test-fit the new molding: align the molding with the windshield edge and verify clip locations and fit before final installation.
- Install the new molding: press the molding into the channel and engage clips one-by-one until fully seated. Use a heat gun on low in cold weather to increase flexibility if necessary.
- Reinstall the cowl panel and fasteners, then reinstall windshield wipers and torque retaining nuts to factory specifications.
- Inspect the seal: check for even contact along the windshield edge and confirm there are no gaps. If the windshield was removed or replaced previously, verify appropriate adhesive/sealant was used by a qualified technician.
- Test for leaks: after installation, run a water test (hose) and check the interior for any signs of water intrusion; re-seat or replace clips if needed.
