The Underside Windshield Molding USM F4137 is a direct-fit replacement designed for 2016-2021 Nissan Maxima vehicles. It secures and aligns the lower windshield trim, creating a weather-tight seal that prevents water intrusion, reduces wind noise, and protects the windshield flange and body panels from corrosion. Manufactured to OEM fit and finish standards, this molding offers durable, weather-resistant materials and corrosion-resistant clips for long-lasting reliability and an easy snap-in installation that restores factory appearance and function.
Features:
- Fitment: 2016-2021 Nissan Maxima
- Direct-fit underside windshield molding (USM F4137) engineered to OEM dimensions
- Weather-resistant construction to prevent leaks, reduce wind noise, and protect against corrosion
- Includes corrosion-resistant clips for secure fastening and long-term reliability
- Restores factory appearance and seal — ideal for restoration or maintenance projects
- Easy snap-in installation for faster replacement and minimal disassembly
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 3/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake. Lift the hood to access the cowl area.
- If required, mark the wiper arm positions with masking tape, then remove the windshield wiper arms (usually held by a nut—retain hardware for reinstallation).
- Remove any screws, bolts, and plastic clips securing the cowl panel and underside molding using trim tools and a socket set. Keep fasteners organized.
- Carefully pry up and remove the old underside molding. Use plastic trim tools to avoid damaging paint or the windshield flange.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a clean rag to remove old adhesive, dirt, and debris. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new molding (USM F4137) and ensure alignment with the windshield flange and clip locations.
- Press the new molding into place, engaging all clips until they snap in and the molding sits flush. Replace any supplied or retained clips as needed.
- Reinstall the cowl panel, fasteners, and windshield wiper arms in the reverse order of removal. Torque wiper arm nuts to manufacturer spec if available.
- Close the hood and check the molding for secure fit. Perform a water test (gentle hose spray) to confirm there are no leaks and listen for wind noise at road speed.
