Instructions:
- Verify part WKT F3248 against the vehicle’s application guide to ensure correct fitment.
- Park on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and protect painted surfaces with masking tape and cloths.
- Carefully pry out the old upper molding using a trim tool to avoid damaging the windshield glass or painted surfaces. Remove any retention clips left in the channel.
- Cut and remove any old adhesive or sealant with a utility knife, taking care not to score the metal or glass.
- Clean the molding channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol and a clean cloth; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new molding to confirm orientation and clip positions. Transfer any reusable clips or install new retention clips supplied with the kit.
- If adhesive or sealant is required, apply a thin, even bead per the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation. Align the molding at the windshield top edge and press firmly into place, engaging clips into the channel.
- Work along the length of the molding, seating clips or the molding lip fully using hand pressure or a rubber mallet over a cloth to avoid marring the finish.
- Trim any excess molding material as needed for a clean finish and reinstall any trim pieces or hardware removed earlier.
- Allow adhesive or sealant to cure as recommended before driving. Inspect the seal for gaps and test for leaks after installation.
