Instructions:
- Park on level ground, set the parking brake, and protect painted surfaces with tape or covering.
- Carefully remove the old molding: pry out trim clips or screws with a trim tool and screwdriver, cutting any adhesive where necessary.
- Remove remaining adhesive, dirt, and sealant from the windshield channel using a razor blade and isopropyl alcohol; ensure the surface is clean and dry.
- Inspect and replace any damaged clips or fasteners before fitting the new molding.
- Dry-fit the new Precision Windshield Molding WFS F2105 along the windshield edge to confirm orientation and alignment.
- If required, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or the back of the molding per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Press the molding evenly into the channel, engaging clips and seating the molding fully along the entire perimeter. Use masking tape to hold sections in place if needed until adhesive sets.
- Reinstall any trim pieces or fasteners removed earlier and clean the area. Check for even fit and gaps, and test for wind noise/leaks once curing is complete.
