This front right-hand floor pan section with integrated toe board is a direct-fit replacement for 1973–1977 GM A-Body cars (Chevelle, Malibu, Cutlass, Monte Carlo, Skylark, LeMans). It restores structural integrity to the passenger-side footwell, replaces rusted or damaged metal, and provides correct OEM contours for carpet, pedals, and seat mounts. Built from stamped steel and engineered for weld-in installation, the panel improves vehicle safety and longevity while offering a durable, corrosion-resistant foundation for restoration projects.
Features:
  • Fits 1973-1977 GM A-Body vehicles (Chevelle, Malibu, Cutlass, Monte Carlo, Skylark, LeMans) — front right-hand (passenger) side.
  • Stamped steel construction for OEM-style fit and strength.
  • Integrated toe board restores original contours and mounting points.
  • Direct weld-in replacement designed to replace rusted or damaged floor sections.
  • Pre-formed edges and contours reduce fitment time and alignment issues.
  • Improves structural rigidity and protects against future corrosion when sealed and coated.
  • Ideal for restorations, collision repairs, and rusted-floor replacements.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 2-4 hours (vehicle dependent)
Suggested Tools:
  • Angle grinder or cutoff wheel
  • Drill with spot-weld/cutting bit
  • MIG welder or equivalent
  • Clamps and C-clamps
  • Hammer and dolly
  • Wire brush or grinder wheel
  • Seam sealer
  • Rust inhibitor/primer and undercoating
  • Measuring tape and marker
  • Protective gear (gloves, eye protection, respirator)
Instructions:
  1. Prepare vehicle: disconnect battery, remove seat, carpet, trim, and any components covering the affected area.
  2. Inspect and mark the damaged floor area. Measure and test-fit the replacement panel to confirm coverage and alignment.
  3. Remove the old floor section: grind out spot welds or cut away rusted metal, keeping solid surrounding metal intact where possible.
  4. Clean and prep mating surfaces: remove rust, paint, and debris. Ensure edges are straight and provide good metal-to-metal contact.
  5. Trial-fit the new panel and make any minor trim adjustments for proper fit. Use clamps to hold the panel in position.
  6. Weld the panel in place using stitch or plug welds at factory weld points. Avoid long continuous welds to reduce distortion; weld in short increments.
  7. Grind welds smooth as needed. Use hammer and dolly to restore any contours and ensure a flush fit with the surrounding floor.
  8. Apply seam sealer to all exposed seams and joints. Prime bare metal with rust-inhibiting primer, then finish with undercoating or paint as desired.
  9. Reinstall carpet, trim, seats, and any removed components. Reconnect the battery and perform a final inspection for secure fitment and proper sealing.
