Left-hand toe board patch panel engineered for 1964–1967 GM A-Body vehicles to repair rusted or damaged floor areas and restore cabin structural integrity. This 30" x 15" patch includes the portion of the transmission hump for a more complete repair and is formed with factory-style contours for accurate alignment. Designed for welding and finishing, it provides a durable replacement that simplifies restoration and long-term reliability.
Features:
  • Fits 1964-1967 GM A-Body vehicles (Chevelle, Malibu, Cutlass, GTO and similar models).
  • Dimensions: 30" x 15" — left-hand toe board with part of the transmission hump included.
  • Formed with factory-style contours to match original panel geometry for accurate fitment.
  • Heavy-gauge steel construction for strength and long-term durability during restoration.
  • Supplies a direct-replacement patch to stop rust spread and restore floor structural integrity.
  • Ready for welding and finishing — simplifies installation and professional repairs.
Installation / Application:
  • Difficulty: 3/5
  • Estimated time: 2-4 hours (depends on corrosion extent and prep work)
Suggested Tools:
  • Angle grinder with cutoff wheel and flap disc
  • Wire brush or grinder wheel
  • Welding machine (MIG/TIG) and welding supplies
  • Clamps and locking pliers
  • Drill and plug-weld bit
  • Hammer and dolly set
  • Seam sealer
  • Rust inhibitor / metal prep
  • Primer and paint
  • Safety gear (gloves, helmet, eye protection)
Instructions:
  1. Inspect and mark the damaged area; remove interior trim and wiring as needed for access.
  2. Cut out rusted or damaged metal, leaving clean, solid metal edges for welding.
  3. Test-fit the patch panel into position, trimming as necessary to align contours and transmission hump area.
  4. Clean mating surfaces to bare metal and apply rust inhibitor to surrounding areas.
  5. Clamp the patch in place and tack-weld at multiple points to check fit and avoid distortion.
  6. Complete seam welding (plug or stitch welds recommended) and grind welds smooth as required.
  7. Use hammer and dolly to finalize contour alignment and ensure flush transitions.
  8. Apply seam sealer to welded joints, then prime and paint the repaired area to protect against corrosion.
  9. Reinstall any removed interior parts and apply undercoating or additional protection to the underside.
  10. Inspect the repair for fit, finish, and watertightness before returning the vehicle to service.
