Instructions:
- Prepare vehicle: disconnect battery, raise and securely support the vehicle, and remove the rear wheel and any trim or inner fender liners obstructing the wheelhouse.
- Assess and mark the damaged area; grind or drill out spot welds and cut away the rusted section back to sound metal.
- Test-fit the replacement wheelhouse, trimming as needed to match surrounding panels and ensure correct alignment and tire clearance.
- Clamp the panel in place and tack-weld or fasten with sheet-metal screws at multiple points to verify fit and panel gaps.
- Complete welding in short runs to minimize heat distortion; allow cooling between runs and re-check alignment frequently.
- Grind welds smooth, treat exposed metal with rust inhibitor, and apply seam sealer to all exterior seams to prevent moisture intrusion.
- Prime and paint the repaired area to match the vehicle, then reinstall inner fender liners, trim, and the wheel.
- Lower the vehicle, reconnect the battery, and perform a final inspection for fitment, clearance, and leak-free seams.
