Each Aerowing rear spoiler for 1985-90 Firebird, is designed to provide Trans Am/GTA styling on your Firebird. Manufactured in durable fiberglass, the wing is much lighter than the heavy stock foam-over-metal-core Aerowing, and will not suffer from the separation and corrosion that plagued the original Pontiac wings.
Each Aerowing spoiler includes new and improved mounting hardware designed to provide a more secure fit and a simpler installation. If mounting on a car that did not come equipped with an aerowing spoiler, drilling of the rear decklid will be required to obtain proper fit.
IMPORTANT: Unlike other wings in the market, modifications can be made to install a factory style third brake light beneath the spoiler, if so desired.
PRO INSTALLATION TIP: Do NOT paint this spoiler PRIOR to fitting it to the vehicle for the first time. Professional installers ALWAYS test-fit a spoiler to the vehicle first, conduct any and all necessary modifications, drilling of holes, etc. and then remove the spoiler from the vehicle to paint it as a final step. Once the fit and appearance of the spoiler on the vehicle has been tested and confirmed, then you can begin prepping, and priming the spoiler. FINALLY after all mods, and test-fitment has been completed, then you can proceed to the painting of the spoiler. Painting of body parts should always be the next-to-last step of the installation process.
