Complete weatherstrip seal kit (CWK 2110 87) designed for vehicles that lack a weatherstrip trim groove. This kit provides a precision-fit replacement to seal doors, windows, and body openings — preventing water intrusion, wind noise, and dust while restoring factory alignment. Made for durability and easy installation, it’s ideal for restoration projects or routine maintenance where OEM-style sealing and long-term reliability are required.
Features:
- Designed for models without a weatherstrip trim groove (CWK 2110 87 compatibility).
- High-quality EPDM rubber (or equivalent weather-resistant compound) for superior durability and UV resistance.
- Seals doors, windows, and body openings to prevent leaks, reduce wind noise, and block dust.
- Precision-molded profile for correct alignment and OEM-style fitment.
- Easy installation — push-in fit with optional adhesive for a secure, long-lasting bond.
- Ideal for restorations and replacement of worn, cracked, or compressed original seals.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 45-90 minutes
Instructions:
- Park the vehicle on level ground and fully open the door or access panel to be serviced.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip by pulling it from the channel; use a trim tool to avoid damaging paint or trim.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and oils; allow to dry completely.
- Test-fit the new weatherstrip along the entire perimeter to verify orientation and length; trim excess with a utility knife or scissors if needed.
- If the kit or vehicle requires adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of weatherstrip cement to the mounting flange or channel per the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions.
- Press the weatherstrip firmly into the channel, working in sections and using masking tape to hold corners or seams in place while adhesive sets.
- Ensure proper alignment at corners and latch areas; adjust as needed so that the door closes smoothly and gaps are uniform.
- Allow any adhesive to cure fully (refer to adhesive cure time), then remove masking tape and inspect the seal for continuity and proper compression.
