A two-piece left and right door weatherstrip seal kit engineered to restore a tight, long-lasting seal around vehicle doors. This kit replaces worn, compressed, or damaged door seals to prevent water intrusion, reduce wind and road noise, and improve door alignment. Constructed from weather-resistant rubber compounds and shaped for precise mating with door frames, the seals offer durability and reliable performance for restoration and maintenance projects. Confirm part number DWP 2110 61 for exact vehicle fitment before installation.
Features:
- Replaces worn left and right door seals to stop leaks and reduce cabin noise.
- Made from durable, weather-resistant rubber that resists cracking, shrinking, and UV damage.
- Precision profile provides a tight seal and helps maintain proper door alignment.
- Designed for straightforward installation — can be pressed into channels or bonded with adhesive.
- Ideal for vehicle restorations and routine maintenance to restore factory sealing performance.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the door and remove the old weatherstrip: carefully pry clips or adhesive away and peel the seal out of the channel.
- Clean the mounting channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or cleaner to remove dirt, adhesive residue, and oils; allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new seal pieces along the door frame to confirm orientation and trim length as needed.
- If using adhesive, apply a thin, even bead to the channel or the back of the seal per adhesive manufacturer instructions; for press-fit seals, skip adhesive.
- Align the seal at one end, then press it firmly into the channel along the full length, using masking tape to hold sections in place while adhesive sets if needed.
- Trim any excess material with a utility knife so the ends meet cleanly without overlapping or leaving gaps.
- If desired, use a heat gun or hair dryer (low setting) to gently warm the seal for better conforming in cold conditions.
- Allow any adhesive to cure for the recommended time, remove temporary tape, then close the door and check for even contact and proper sealing. Make final adjustments if necessary.
