This 2-piece door weatherstrip seal kit (left and right) is engineered to restore proper door sealing on 1967 model-year vehicles. The kit replaces worn or damaged door seals to stop water intrusion, wind noise, and dust while improving interior comfort and preserving vehicle value during restoration. Constructed from high-quality elastomeric material with reinforced retainers, the seals provide long-lasting compression, reliable weather protection, and an OEM-style fit for straightforward replacement.
Features:
- Fitment: Designed for 1967 model-year vehicles — verify compatibility with your specific make and model before purchase.
- High-quality elastomeric (EPDM-style) seal material resists ozone, heat, and compression set for long life.
- Two-piece kit includes left and right door seals for complete door restoration.
- Restores proper door shut height and sealing to prevent leaks, reduce wind noise, and protect interior trim.
- Easy to install as a direct replacement for aged or cracked seals — ideal for restorations and routine maintenance.
- Durable construction with reinforced retaining edge for reliable retention in the door channel.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Open the door and remove the old weatherstrip by gently prying it from the channel using a trim tool or flat-blade screwdriver.
- Clean the door channel and mating surfaces thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or adhesive cleaner to remove old adhesive, dirt, and residue. Allow to dry.
- Test-fit the new left and right seals along the door frame to confirm orientation and length. Trim excess length with a utility knife if necessary.
- If the seals are adhesive-backed, peel the liner and press the seal firmly into the channel, working from one end to the other. If adhesive is required, apply a thin bead of weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or seal per adhesive instructions.
- Seat the reinforced retaining edge fully into the channel, ensuring continuous contact and that corners/ends are snug. Use masking tape to hold the seal in place if needed while adhesive cures.
- Close and open the door a few times to verify fit and sealing. Wipe away any excess adhesive immediately. Allow adhesive to cure per manufacturer recommendations before driving.
