Precision Rear Window Weatherstrip Seal, Without Trim Groove WBL D1103 is a direct-fit rear glass seal designed to prevent water intrusion, wind noise, and vibration. Engineered from durable EPDM rubber, this seal restores the original sealing surface for rear windows that accept a non-grooved weatherstrip. Its resilient profile maintains a tight, long-lasting seal while remaining flexible for straightforward installation and reliable day-to-day performance. Ideal for restoration or maintenance projects where leak prevention, interior protection, and improved cabin quietness are priorities. Verify fitment with your vehicle's year, make and model before ordering.
Features:
- EPDM rubber construction resists weathering, ozone, and temperature extremes for long-term durability.
- Designed for rear window applications that accept a weatherstrip without a trim groove; verify fitment for your vehicle.
- Prevents water leaks, reduces wind noise, and minimizes vibration for a quieter, drier cabin.
- Flexible profile allows easier seating around curved rear glass while retaining firm sealing pressure.
- Suitable replacement for restoration projects or to refresh worn or cracked seals; helps maintain interior trim and glass alignment.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and protect interior surfaces with drop cloths or towels.
- Carefully remove interior trim panels and any retainers that block access to the rear window seal using trim tools and screwdrivers.
- If required for access, support or partially remove the rear glass per vehicle service manual—do not force the glass.
- Peel out the old weatherstrip completely. Use a utility knife to cut through stubborn sections, taking care not to damage glass or body paint.
- Clean the window channel and sealing surface thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove old adhesive, dirt, and residue. Allow to dry.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip around the glass and channel to confirm correct orientation and length. Trim excess with a sharp utility knife if necessary.
- If your vehicle requires adhesive, apply a thin, even bead of automotive weatherstrip adhesive to the channel or seal per adhesive manufacturer instructions.
- Seat the new seal into the channel starting at one side and working around the perimeter. Use a rubber mallet or block of wood to gently tap the seal fully into place without overstretching.
- Reinstall any trim or retainers removed earlier and, if applicable, carefully reposition or reinstall the rear glass following vehicle-specific procedures.
- Allow adhesive to cure per product instructions (if used). Inspect the seal for uniform compression and test for leaks with a gentle water spray after full cure.
