Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface and allow access to the rear glass area; remove interior trim panels as needed to expose the window flange.
- Carefully remove the old weatherstrip: peel away the old seal and use a scraper or trim tool to clear adhesive residue from the channel.
- Clean the mounting channel thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or adhesive cleaner and dry with a clean cloth.
- Dry-fit the new weatherstrip along the flange to confirm correct orientation and length; trim any excess with a razor blade if necessary.
- Apply a thin film of weatherstrip lubricant (soapy water or silicone spray) to the seal lips to ease insertion. If the vehicle requires adhesive, apply a thin bead to the channel per adhesive instructions.
- Starting at one corner, press the seal into the channel and work around the perimeter, ensuring the seal seats evenly and fully against the flange. Use a plastic trim tool to press the bulb and bead into place without damaging the seal.
- Trim any remaining excess material and re-check the fit for gaps, kinks, or twists. Re-seat problem areas as needed.
- Allow any adhesive to cure per the manufacturer's recommendations, then reinstall interior trim panels and test for leaks by running water over the sealed area.
